I received 2 dog bone usb flash drives from a friend,but, I cannot get anything on them.I have tried to format each one,both on windows xp, and on vista,and they will not format. Why? Thank you. Vern (vernkelley@gmail.com)

vern its joe, those usb drives had hardware malfunctions. they were broken. probably water or heat damage.
